Some of you may remember the old shop located on Bay Road. It was quite small
and jam packed with products. In 1991 when we opened, we knew that we could
survive in such a small place, but as time went on we slowly started bulging
at the seams. Even though our service area was about the size of a closet,
we managed to provide some of the best service on the Northshore. Our office
doubled as a parts room and we shared the bathroom with the paint store next
door. All in all, things went well. In 1994 the Black Cow Restaurant came
to town. We were continuing to grow and they were looking for a location.
So that year we moved into our new digs on Railroad Ave.
Space galore. No more sharing of bathrooms and no more bumping into desks in the parts room. Bay Road Bikes had stepped it up a notch. Today we continue to provide the same professional service we had back in 1991, while still maintaining the small shop feel. Bay Road Bikes is involved in all aspects of cycling. From supporting community bike rodeos to supporting charity rides. We sponsor the Northshore's finest cycling club, Essex County Velo. Bay Road Bikes has also been involved in local land access issues and road safety issues. Most of all, we try to provide the community with a healthy, friendly way to have fun.
